Our Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) is the first of its kind in Switzerland. Our program is deeply rooted in computer science and also offers a broad interdisciplinary mix of applied technologies, business skills, social awareness and project work.

How does ChatGPT work? How is your music recommended to you? How does a self-driving car work? Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning is the answer! 

AI is disrupting every industry and the way we work as individuals. In 2024, Nobel prizes in physics and chemistry have quite shockingly, been awarded to AI Experts, who were neither physicists nor chemists, but who could leverage the power of AI . AI is becoming an everyday tool for everyone and every job. As a result, businesses need to adopt modern AI systems to boost their competitiveness and create new offerings for their customers. This creates a high demand for AI specialists – you could be one of them!

Our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning bachelor program offers a unique chance to acquire the skills of the future in a hands-on setting:

Admission

  • It is also possible to be admitted via our admissions study program

  • To get admitted to our bachelor program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning you need the German certificate in C1, because our program is in German. Just some modules are taught in English

International

Students will have the opportunity to gain International project experience, and to broaden their network outside Switzerland. We offer the possibility to attend Summer schools and “block weeks” at the end of the Semester, to travel abroad to our Partner Universities. Students can also apply to participate in our International Project Experience at Silicon Valley (limited number of places).
In the final year of their studies, students will take part in the AI Challenge, which will involve competing against other universities and organizations in competitions such as Kaggle or RoboCup. It should be noted that these competitions are in English, and students are required to study and work in English for this and other modules during their final year. English classes are offered by the language centre to support students who wish to improve their language skills.
