The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offers a broad range of courses and programs to facilitate the choice of degree program and study preparation, as well as specialized workshops and presentation formats for vocational colleges and baccalaureate schools.

PROGRAMS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Thanks to the various study selection and preparation programs, prospective students gain insight into everyday student life, selected parts of the curriculum and life on campus. What is more, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts helps prospective students with an academic baccalaureate to find an internship.

Has it been a while since you last studied Math or is your IT knowledge a bit patchy? The various preparatory programs are the perfect foundation for a successful start.

Pre-admission course

So you don’t have a vocational or academic baccalaureate? Gain admission to the Digital Ideation, Information Technology and IT and Cyber Security programs with our one-year pre-admission course.

PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS

Experts from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - Computer Science and Information Technology conduct workshops and guest lectures on various areas of computer science and business information technology at vocational colleges, secondary schools and baccalaureate schools. In addition, the new campus in Rotkreuz will be open to school classes for tours and guided tours of selected labs and studios from autumn 2019. A selection of digital gadgets is available for loan and use in school lessons.

Workshops and trial lessons

In workshops for vocational colleges and baccalaureate schools, pupils learn to create simple applications for humanoid robots and mobile devices. What is more, a number of experts are available for guest talks.

Campus tours

Since the fall of 2019, the Rotkreuz campus has been open for guided tours. In addition to a glimpse into the labs and studios, pupils have the chance to test various digital gadgets such as VR and AR goggles. You can make an appointment by email.

Choice of study program and information events for schools

Several schools have regular information events and theme days around choosing a study program. The heads of program will be delighted to visit vocational colleges, business and academic baccalaureate schools with current students to showcase their programs.

Toolbox

In addition to information events about the range of education and continuing education programs and module presentations, the School hosts various specialist and networking events.
