Option «A» or «B» For prospective students without cantonal funding

Students without cantonal funding may attend one of two versions of the course (with different cost contributions) in the framework of the Pre-College programme. Option «A» encompasses the full pre-study/preparatory course content without the artistic main subject, which must be attended at a different institution. Option «B» exclusively consists of theory classes. Both options prepare candidates wishing to study Music and pass the relevant entrance exam.

Students living in the following cantons are not eligible for cantonal funding:

  • Appenzell Ausserrhoden
  • Bern (exception: Main subject in Folk Music)
  • Neuchâtel
  • Solothurn
  • St Gallen
  • Ticino
  • Zurich

Candidates from non-contributing cantons may be eligible for a talent scholarship for the preparatory studies or preparatory course if they have been recommended for the scheme by the admissions board.
