The preparatory course is for young people interested in studying Music who currently attend upper-secondary education (baccalaureate school, vocational training). The preparatory course is available in the Jazz and Classical Music profiles and typically lasts three years. The course times are compatible with the student’s regular school hours and workload. The year of enrolment depends on the year the student is expected to finish their upper-secondary school or apprenticeship. Students in the preparatory course graduate with the same level of expertise as graduates of the pre-study course. For students who are not eligible for cantonal funding, the preparatory course is available as option «A»(without main subject instruction) or «B» (theory classes only).
