Our students at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology benefit from state-of-the-art facilities such as its networking lab, security and microcomputer infrastructure, and other assets. What is more, our students have access to the leading-edge infrastructure of the Immersive Realities Center.

Most classes in the bachelor's program in Immersive Technologies are delivered on the new state-of-the-art Rotkreuz Campus. It is situated right next to Rotkreuz train station and therefore easy to reach by public transport.

State-of-the-art hardware and software at the Immersive Realities Center

Of course, if you want to study immersive technologies, you will need suitable equipment. Luckily, we can use the Immersive Realities Center’s extensive range of hardware and software in the classroom and in project modules alike. The Center’s resources include:

  • Various headsets from different brands ranging from Apple to Meta, HTC, Pico, Microsoft, Valve, Varjo, Almer Technologies and other providers
  • Different types of tablets and smartphones
  • 3D scanners and depth sensors (Kinect, Leap Motion, RealSense, etc.)
  • Motion Capture Setup (Vicon)
  • etc.

Lab Services

Thanks to Lab Services, students have access to all the state-of-the-art computer services required for a host of applications and exercises.

Studios and Maker Space

Various high-tech studios are open to students and staff. A center of excellence for prototype construction and digital fabrication, the premises are equipped with a hybrid infrastructure.

Networking Lab

The Networking Lab is Cisco and Huawei certified and offers students a diverse and modern infrastructure for hands-on experiments on networks and services. The lab boasts all infrastructures commonly used in the industry.
