11th Swiss Symposium Thermal Energy Storage 2024 – Bridging the gaps: How can we support the energy transition today and in the future?

In this 11th edition, we wanted to gain insights and open a discussion on the role of thermal energy storage in the decarbonization of Switzerland and Europe. We brought together key players from political, industrial and academic backgrounds to answer the question of where thermal energy storage can already make a difference today and what are the upcoming technologies that will play a role in the future.

The event combined different inputs from experts in politics, fundamental science, project implementation, and pilot initiatives, along with an interactive workshop and a discussion panel. The symposium aimed to unite the major figures in the field of TES, fostering the exploration of important subjects and facilitating the initiation of valuable collaborations.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all speakers and participants. It was a great symposium with many exciting discussions and new contacts made. We are already looking forward to welcoming you again next year in Horw.
