Scholars at Risk Protecting Academics Under Threat and Promoting Academic Freedom

Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network of institutions and individuals whose mission it is to protect and defend the principles of academic freedom and the human rights of researchers around the world. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has been a member of the Scholars at Risk Swiss section since 2022. 

Via SAR, academics who are classified as at risk by the organisation or who come to Switzerland as refugees can apply to the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts for support to continue their academic work in exile; provided, of course, that an agreement can be reached regarding funding.
