The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) is one of nine public universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. It is active in the four mandated areas of activity that are education, continuing education, research and development, and services.            

The HSLU’s academic and research activities are distributed among six Schools:

Boasting more than 8,000 students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s programmes and over 12,000 participants in continuing and executive education programmes, the HSLU is a key player in the contributing Cantons of Lucerne, Uri, Schwyz, Nidwalden, Obwalden and Zug. It is a reliable partner for business, culture and society across its four areas of mandated activity.
