The IDN Carte Blanche Interdisciplinarity is an open-themed platform whose aim is to promote network-building among actors from academia and practice and to support innovative joint project proposals for national and international funding programmes. In-house and external networks alike contribute considerably to inter- and transdisciplinarity at the HSLU. This enables researchers to develop major innovative projects with an inter- and transdisciplinary orientation in partnership with political, economic and cultural institutions, and to submit them to Swiss or international funding programmes. These programmes promote the emergence of new fields of research and consider inter- and transdisciplinarity as a key transversal task.
The HSLU’s in-house network encompasses researchers from its six Schools of Engineering and Architecture, Business, Computer Science and Information Technology, Social Work, Design, Film and Art, and Music who are working with external peers to address today’s challenges.
