Expanding Opportunities in Higher Education: Lingnan University and HSLU Strengthen Their Second Degree Program Partnership

The collaboration between Lingnan University in Hong Kong and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) has reached a new milestone. This long-standing partnership, which enables students in HSLU’s MSc in Real Estate (MScRE) and MSc in Banking and Finance (MScBF) programs to study abroad, has been extended and continues to deliver outstanding results.

Study trip to Milan: insights into the Italian real estate market

From October 21 to 22, 2024, students of the MSc Real Estate at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts had the opportunity to take part in an exclusive study trip to Milan. Organized by Prof. Dr. Michael Trübestein, head of the MSc Real Estate and the Real Estate Center (REC) of the Politecnico di Milano, the trip offered a comprehensive insight into the Milan real estate market, current market trends and the city's most important projects.

Study trip to Vienna: insights into the market and current real estate projects

From September 30 to October 1, 2024, students from the third semester of MSc Real Estate at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts had the opportunity to take part in a study trip to Vienna. Organized by Prof. Dr. Michael Trübestein and the FH Vienna, the trip provided valuable insights into the Viennese real estate market, current market trends and significant real estate projects in the city.

The SFP-Award for Excellence in Real Estate was presented to students in the MScRE at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The «SFP-Award for Excellence in Real Estate» annually honors students in the MScRE program of HSLU for their special merits and outstanding academic achievements.

In September 2023, a total of seven students from the MScRE program began their Dual Degree Program in Banking and Finance (MIBF) at Lingnan University in Hong Kong.

Innovative investment opportunities presented before an international jury

Innovative real estate investment products can represent an attractive addition to existing real estate investment vehicles and reduce the current investment pressure. As a result, MScRE students presented new and innovative investment opportunities before an international jury.

Best students honoured with SFP awards

Awards for excellent achievements in the real estate sector: this year's SFP awards go to Sadaf Stutterheim and Timo Hänni. The award recognises the special merits and academic achievements of the two MScRE students, who received the coveted glass sculpture and a foundation prize on 17 May 2018.

Dual degree programme agreed; intensive week organised in Vienna

Complementing the attractive MScRE course are a number of international study visits: students now have a chance to complete a dual degree programme at Lingnan University in Hong Kong from August 2018 and an intensive course at the FHWien der WKW university of applied sciences in Vienna in the second semester.

Complementing the attractive MScRE course are a number of international study visits: a different European metropolis is visited each semester. The sojourns abroad involve interesting lectures and visits with the aim of facilitating a practical and well-founded assessment of the market.

Best practice and real world case studies as a matter of course!

The MScRE real estate master's programme is characterised by high practical relevance. As a result, students apply the knowledge they have acquired each semester in an accompanying real world case study: this year, on the basis of a "special property", it is a former furniture factory.

Grant for the MSc in Real Estate

Swiss Finance & Property AG awards one grant annually to a student attending the Master of Science in Real Estate programme. Awarded by a renowned company, the grant recognises the research-based and practical achievements of the student in question.

MSc in Real Estate with international cooperation

36 students are starting the internationally recognised Master of Science in Real Estate (MScRE) in September. An "International Week" at the renowned Politecnico di Milano will in future form part of the course: the two institutions complement each other perfectly in their fields of study.
