HSLU-Card – validity
HSLU-Cards have to be validated with the holder's personal details at a validation station. Students are required to validate their cards every semester, staff at the end of the calendar year.
Validation stations are available on the main sites of all six Schools of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. HSLU-Cards can be validated at any of the stations.

Sentimatt 1, Luzern: main entrance, right side, in the old telephone booth

Zentralstrasse 18, Luzern: Third floor, next to the library
If the HSLU-Card is used as authorization to access rooms and buildings, it must be updated every 30 days with an online card reader at the main entrance (with the exception of Lucerne School of Business).
Replacement of a HSLU-Card that has been lost incurs a processing charge of CHF 50. Lost or faulty cards must be notified to a school’s reception or secretariat without delay. (Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture: Central Services). The card will then be blocked with immediate effect.
Returning the HSLU-Card
The HSLU-Card need not be returned. It continues to serve as a library ID after graduation / after termination of the employment contract.
