Digital ID card

A HSLU ID card is issued for all employees of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) as well as students in bachelor’s and master’s programmes and participants in continuing and executive education programmes. The card is valid for the duration of their employment or studies. The card, which can be added to the Apple or Google wallet or downloaded as a PDF, is a means of identification for employees, students and participants in continuing and executive education programmes.

The card in a nutshell
Straightforward and reliable: Go to the web portal, create your digital ID and keep it on your smartphone in the Apple or Google wallet or as a PDF file.
Validity: Thanks to automatic synchronisation, your personal information on the card stays up to date.
Functions: Personal identification, library card (bar code), ID for University Sports

Issuing a HSLU ID card

Those entitled to an ID card can create one via the web portal using their Switch edu-ID and add it to their personal wallet.

Validity

The validity of the HSLU ID card is automatically kept up to date in the wallet. It is valid throughout the holder's employment or studies. It is forbidden to alter, copy, share or fake the digital ID card (card and PDF).

Library card

The HSLU ID card can also be used as a library card SLSP/swisscovery. It can be used to loan library items and is valid in almost all Swiss university libraries.  Once the card holder has graduated or left the HSLU, the ID card in the wallet will expire.  Those who still need an SLSP library card after this point may get one from one of the HSLU libraries.

University Sports card

The HSLU ID card also provides access to University Sports Campus courses and programmes. Employees and students can participate in these activities free of charge. Participants in SAS, CAS, DAS and MAS continuing or executive education programmes may join for a fee. For more information, consult the fact sheet.
