Biography
Nathaly Tschanz is professor for Extended Reality and programme leader of the CAS Virtual & Augmented Reality Management, CAS Digital Twins creating business value and the day-course Metaverse.
She has several years of professional and leadership experience in digital business management, marketing, media and communication (e.g. Head of Digital Content at Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland, Scout 24 Switzerland, Somedia etc.). From 2018 to 2021, she worked at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons - first as lecturer and later as professor for Extended Reality and Digital Business Management and CAS-programme leader.
She first encountered Augmented and Virtual Reality in 2010, when the technologies were still largely unknown and hardly anyone had the emerging potential on their radar. That was the reason for her to publish the book Praxishandbuch Augmented Reality in 2015. In 2017, another non-fiction book followed: Augmented and Mixed Reality for Marketing, Media and Communication.
Besides teaching at HSLU, she is a visiting lecturer at other educational institutions, and advises and coaches companies on the use of immersive technologies in the value chain. She also shares her expertise in regards to immersive technologies, digital trends, new forms of (3D-)storytelling, spatial UX and context marketing in keynotes and workshops.
