GITEX Europe - May 21 to 23, 2025 The event for technology, start-ups and digital investments in Europe

The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offers a range of Bachelor's and Master's degree programs as well as many attractive continuing education courses in the most important IT disciplines. Numerous partners already benefit from the project expertise and experience of HSLU researchers as well as from the excellent academic and professional networks.

GITEX Europe

The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology is taking part in GITEX Europe to showcase its innovative strength and expertise in the field of digital technologies. By participating in this important trade fair, we aim to promote exchange with international partners, initiate new collaborations and learn about current trends in the technology sector. GITEX also provides a platform to present HSLU's research projects and initiatives to a wide audience and to support students and alumni in their professional development.

At this year's GITEX Europe, the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology, together with the Smart-up initiative and the start-up Twojo, which emerged from it, will be showcasing technologies focusing on robotics, blockchain, immersive technologies and much more.

The Blockchain Lab, the first Swiss university research lab for distributed ledger technologies, has the mission to create security, transparency and value for society by focusing on web3 technologies and the development of secure, decentralized systems through the use of tools from cryptography, game theory and distributed computing.

Immersive Realities

The Immersive Realities Center at Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts aims to combine the virtual and the real in an interdisciplinary ecosystem and offers training and further education as well as advice and support to external partners. Applied AI

The Applied AI Center is a unique competence center for artificial intelligence in Switzerland. It offers experts from teaching and research the opportunity to share their knowledge with students, continuing education participants and partners - an innovative concept that does not yet exist in this form in Switzerland.

The Smart-up initiative offers inspiration, support and networking opportunities for everyone associated with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and aims to encourage and enable students, alumni and employees to realize their business ideas and support them on their path to self-employment.

Twojo (HSLU Start-up)

Two graduates of the Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts have developed the innovative crime scene app SPUFO for securing evidence, which enables the police to record fingerprints more easily. The Zurich Forensic Institute is already using this pioneering technology.
