Applied AI Research Lab

The Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Research Lab is dedicated to bridging the gap between AI technologies and real-world challenges, with the goal to bring innovative solutions to people, companies, and institutions.

Where biology and medical technology meet artificial intelligence

AAI is a cooperation partner of the Medtech Cooperation of the HSLU

We specialize in prototyping, evaluating, and industrializing machine-learning systems. We are enthusiastic about solving problems by implementing science into practice.

Our expertise spans a broad range of AI topics including recommender systems, data-centric AI, model evaluation, reinforcement learning, and generative AI, as well as many different data types – images, text, audio, video, tables, and time series. We provide tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of our partners by identifying effective third-party products, implementing state-of-the-art research, or developing own new methods.

At the AAI Research Lab, we believe in interdisciplinary collaboration and work with leaders in MedTech, sports, retail, FoodTech, events, and many more areas. We partner with businesses, startups, NGOs, and other research institutions to provide actionable insights and scalable solutions according to requests. Whether you are looking to optimize processes, enhance decision-making, or innovate with new AI-driven products, our team of experts is here to support your journey from concept to production.

Explore the potential of applied AI with us and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Together, we can turn your data into a powerful asset, driving sustainable growth and real innovation in your industry.
