Additive Manufacturing manufacture complex components using state-of-the-art processes

With the Mechanical Systems Competence Center equipment, components can be realized that until recently were considered not-manufacturable. As a result, new possibilities in the design of components, driven mainly by the component's function and less by the manufacturing process, are suddenly a reality.

SLM - an additive manufacturing process for metals

SLM - Additive Manufacturing for Metals

The SLM facility can be used to additively manufacture components in metal. We use this manufacturing option for the production of complex geometries that cannot be realised using conventional processes. These components can be used like conventionally manufactured components through metal-cutting post-processing in terms of precision and application. An excellent complement to drilling, turning, milling!

HP Multi Jet Fusion - selective laser melting for PA12

HP Multi Jet Fusion - Powder Bed Fusion Process for FA12

The HP Multi Jet Fusion powder bed fusion process allows the Mechanical Systems Competence Center to produce components in PA12. There are almost no production residual reductions to be observed. What is practically unthinkable in other processes, or can only be achieved with great effort, can here be realised without any problems. Another option is to produce parts partially or entirely in colour. The robust components in PA12 can be used directly as «end-use parts». This is a considerable advantage, especially for small series or functional samples!

3D printing in industry

On 7 March 2022, the theme event "3D Printing in Industry" took place. Many experience reports and information on the topics of plastic and metal printing flowed from users and service providers to interested parties from industry, production and development.
