15th International Conference on Hydraulic Efficiency Measurement, 2026

The forthcoming IGHEM conference will provide a forum for engineers from industry and research establishments to present new results, to exchange ideas and to discuss directions of future developments. The conference will be organized by Thomas Staubli, HSLU, with the support of the IGHEM committee.

Advanced Fluid Engineering: Applications and Developments

At CC FNUM, different software packages are used to perform flow simulations. In addition, numerical methods are developed to simulate more efficiently and specifically. These results form the basis for optimizing flow conditions.

Automatic Optimizations

Computational shape optimization is a research area of growing interest. It combines sophisticated disciplines such as fluid mechanics, numerical modeling and optimization to find an optimal geometry for a flow problem.

System modeling and digital twins

Digital twins describe real devices and processes in a computer model. They can be used to efficiently analyze and optimize devices and processes digitally.

Experimental Analysis

In order to analyze and understand the flow behavior in components and machines, experimental tests are carried out in the laboratory. The measurement data is also used to verify and/or supplement CFD applications.
