Born in Edinburgh and resident in Switzerland for over 25 years, Gordon Millar is responsible for International Relations at the Lucerne School of Business, as well as co-chairing the MSc programme in Business Development and Promotion. Gordon did his undergraduate degree at Hertford College, University of Oxford, his PhD at the University of Glasgow, a teaching qualification at Darwin College, University of Cambridge, and an MBA at the Open University. He later completed a habilitation at the University of Fribourg. In addition to teaching at the Lucerne School of Business, Gordon is also an associate lecturer at the Universities of Fribourg and Lucerne.
A large part of Gordon’s time is spent looking after the Lucerne School of Business’s international institutional partnerships. He has a particular interest in developing dual-degree opportunities for students and in strengthening the newly developed ties with universities outside continental Europe.
Between 1995 and 2005 Gordon was a research associate contributor to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. His research interests are at present taking him in two contrasting directions, internationalisation in higher education, which is close to his professional commitments, and the political novel, which is a more personal interest.
