DLRs´Mobile Rocket Base MORABA
provides Space Operations and Astronaut Training. MORABA has been carrying out sounding missions with unmanned rockets and balloons, and develops the mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a unique mobile infrastructure and hardware since the 60s. The main areas of application for sounding rockets are atmospheric and hypersonic research, technology testing and experiments in microgravity.
DLR Space Operations and Astronaut Training
is the central institution for spaceflight operations in Germany. It includes satellite missions for Earth observation, science and communication missions as well as human spaceflight missions. Furthermore, astronauts are trained, space experiments prepared and sounding rockets launched worldwide.
