Overview

AI-based 3D reconstruction like Gaussian Splatting has disrupted the field and created new opportunities for 3D digitization of real-world objects, environments and scenes. Our VR Planica experience is a pioneering example for application to journalistic storytelling in VR. In this project we extend the capabilities of our pipeline, make it more accessible, and explore new apllication areas such as architecture and construction.
