Biography
After completing his basic commercial training at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (2016–2019), Manuel Birrer worked as an exchange coordinator at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Technology & Architecture from 2019 to 2021, while also completing his vocational baccalaureate alongside his work. From 2021 to 2025, he studied business psychology (BSc) at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts while working as an employee in the International Office in the area of university development and services. He has been working there full-time since summer 2025.
Higher Education Development and University Services
Responsible for university-wide management and further development of student mobility within the framework of the SEMP/Movetia programme, including budgeting, reporting and process implementation. Responsible for designing and implementing introductory and orientation programmes for international students, as well as for first-level support and the continuous development of the Mobility Online tool. Coordinates the communication focus group and designs communication strategies and measures to raise the profile of internationalisation at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
