Stijn Ossevoort (MSc MA) studied Industrial Design at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and Product Design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since 2009 he lectures in the program Design Management, International.
Next to his teaching profession, he manages a client portfolio, for whom he organises future focused workshops, creates design concepts/products and supports new business developments. He has been working for more than fifteen years for clients such as Kaldewei, Prada, Nike, Ron Arad Associates, Hewlett Packard and Philips.
His personal projects inspire future thinking by posing philosophical questions like “What if products have their own aspiration?”, “Can we dissolve the social construct of nature?” or “In what way does technology affect our worldview?”. Three years ago, he decided to coagulate his work in a doctoral thesis on the impact of design on our worldview, linking design engineering to theoretical biology and theories of environmental psychology.
