Biography
Bossart is a renowned sign writer and publicity painter as well as a graduate of the Lucerne School of Jazz. After teaching music and giving concerts for several years, he studied Graphic Design at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. His Bachelor project realised in collaboration with Flavia Mosele won the Lucky Strike Junior Designer Award 2001. He is a co-founder and co-owner of the graphic studio Reflector Visuelle Gestaltung. Bossart has taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes at the Lucerne School of Art and Design since 2002, lecturing mainly on interaction, data visualisation, and screen- and graphic design. From 2005 to 2016, he worked on research projects, above all on the visualisation of complex data.
Since 2016 he has sporadically integrated himself into the research work.
Since autumn semester 2020, he has also been a guest lecturer in the new BA programmes Spatial Design and Data Design & Art.
In parallel, he takes charge of a variety of design projects in his capacity as co-art director at Reflector.
