What to expect
Student’s individual development plays an important role in the master's degree in Composition.
This major prepares prospective composers in their chosen specialisation and provides opportunities for «entering unknown territory» by offering comprehensive, cross-profile modules. The major’s unique masterclass model features well-known visiting composers for at least five blocks per academic year. During which they supervise students almost as if they were a second main subject tutor.
The School's master's degree in Composition is offered for the Classical and the Jazz profiles, with interaction between both profiles for individual study, actively supported and encouraged. The programme integrates master classes and projects, during which students interact with specialised performers.
Master in Composition graduates have developed an autonomous musical language. They have nurtured and tested their craft through continuous interaction with performers.
