Contemporary Music and Composition  Creation and Interpretation 

Composition and contemporary music are all about creating new sonic landscapes and about their interpretive exploration and communication to the audience. With its education and continuing education programmes, the Lucerne School of Music supports young and advanced artists in search of new sounds and eager to perform them on stage. Contemporary music and composition also have a strong presence in the research activities of the Lucerne School of Music.

Academy for contemporary Music

Over the course of five intense days of masterclasses, individual lessons, workshops, seminars and concerts, the Academy for Contemporary Music in Lucerne explores the repertoire and aesthetics of music from the last 70 years. The Academy is open to students and other musicians – composers and performers alike – regardless of the degree of previous experience with contemporary music.
