What the Impact Program offers
The Impact Program can help you to develop and realize projects that promote ecological, social and economic sustainability. The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information provides both funding and advice.
For students and employees at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology:
Project support: get funding for your sustainable project
Exchange and mentoring: get guidance and advice from the experts at Smart-up
How the funding works:
We support selected projects with financial resources, advice, and visibility. As a guide, funding contributions are expected to range between 500 and 5,000 CHF, depending on the needs and impact of the project.
Application rounds:
2025 fall semester → apply until 28 November 2025
2026 spring semester → apply until 8 March 2026
How we select projects
An adjudicating panel evaluates all entries along these criteria:
Applicability of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—What is your project’s contribution towards achieving these goals?
Innovation and creativity: Is your idea original and ground-breaking?
Practicability: Does your project address a real-world problem?
Societal and ecological impact: How will your idea benefit the environment or society?
Relevance to the HSLU (criterion for employee projects): Is your project directly relevant for the HSLU?
