The HSLU Innovation Accelerator for Young People Management and Organisation (PMO) students is an opportunity for participating companies to empower young students and give them a chance to contribute with innovation initiatives to a sustainable innovation agenda of HR or Business Development units, to accelerate business innovation an relate it to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

 

This three-month programme (including a creativity block week in Amsterdam) activates PMO students and future PMO leaders and changemakers to develop innovative solutions for future innovation challenges through new technologies, initiatives, and business models and deliver disruptive new ideas on the company’s objectives in relation with the UN SDG. 

 

The Sustainable Development Goals, the SDGs (https://sdgs.un.org/goals), adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provide a brilliantly helpful framework for PMO professionals to assess their innovation performance and understand how they can contribute with new programs or technologies toward a more sustainable and fairer world. 

 

The Accelerator takes the Major PMO Students through a unique and interdisciplinary creativity management approach to innovation while focusing on the SDGs. 

 

Students run not through each of the below five phases of the programme but start from phase 2. After receiving the challenge, students will be closely mentored, and methodologies and tools will be provided to them. A HSLU Team of experts will guide them through the process of testing solutions and validating these solutions for business value.

Examples of future challenges:
- The mental illnesses of our employees with a high proportion of remote work are steadily increasing. How can we develop a prevention programme to counter this trend?
- We would like to develop a blended onboarding programme and, in particular, we would like to communicate our values in a smart way using new digital media. How could we proceed?
