20 min – HSLU has the best young advertising talents in Switzerland
Since its launch in 2013, the Online Business and Marketing major has become one of the flagship programs at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – School of Business, with an average of nearly 40 graduates per year (2015–2025). Together, we have achieved:

67% of our graduates come from Switzerland. At the same time, we are globally connected: our alumni represent 43 countries – and counting.
Leading Swiss Agencies – LSA Junior Agency Award
Our OBM students have won the Junior Agency Award, sponsored by Leading Swiss Agencies, four years in a row.
Innovation through Generative AI
Since spring 2023, Generative AI has been integrated into our modules, workflows, campaigns, and digital business models.
Research with international recognition
Our research results are published in renowned journals such as the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) and the Academy of Management.

We collaborate with innovative companies and organizations such as NEOVISO AG, 3DFIT, Glice Eco Skating Rinks, Leading Swiss Agencies, Hirschengraben Coworking + Innovation, the Local AI Community, and the City of Lucerne / UEFA 2025.
Entrepreneurial spirit and creativity
OBM graduates founded the Central Switzerland start-ups Gopf – The Market Whisperer and DigitalCreators.
Pioneering work in challenging times
In May 2020, during the global lockdown, OBM students organized one of the first three online TEDx events in the world.
