Flexible start: autumn or spring semester
You can begin your studies in either the autumn or spring semester. Since almost all modules are offered every semester, your choice of start date has no impact on the duration of your studies. This ensures you can always complete your degree within four semesters.
Flexible duration: 4 to 8 semesters
Depending on your professional and personal commitments, you can complete the programme in as few as four or as many as eight semesters.
Flexible workload: 15 to 30 ECTS credits per semester
You decide how many modules you take each semester. Depending on your personal situation, between 15 and 30 ECTS credits per semester are possible.
Fixed teaching days: Thursday and Friday
All classes take place on two consecutive fixed days: Thursday and Friday,
from 08:15 to 17:55. This makes it easy to plan your studies around your professional and personal life.
Fixed semester structure: 2 × 7 weeks
Each semester is divided into two halves. Modules are taught compactly over seven weeks each, allowing you to focus on and fully immerse yourself in each topic.
Fixed block weeks: end of semester
Selected modules are offered as block weeks outside the regular semester, in January / February or August / September. This helps reduce the workload during the semester and allows you to engage with the content in a focused and uninterrupted way.
Teaching alternates between on-site and online weeks. The fixed weekly rhythm applies to all modules simultaneously, making it easy to plan your studies alongside your professional life. Around 40% of classes take place on-site, 60% online.
On-site with streaming: ca. 40 %
During on-campus weeks, you and your lecturers meet at the Campus Luzern Bahnhof to take part in workshops, deliver presentations and engage in direct exchange. Classes are additionally streamed live, allowing you to participate flexibly if attending on site is not possible.
Online: ca. 60 %
During online weeks, all teaching takes place digitally, location-independent and flexible.
Weekly rhythm
Both semester halves last seven weeks and follow the same rhythm: each on-site week is followed by two online weeks.
- Week 1 / Week 8: on-site
- Week 2 / Week 9: online
- Week 3 / Week 10: online
- Week 4 / Week 11: on-site
- Week 5 / Week 12: online
- Week 6 / Week 13: online
- Week 7 / Week 14: on-site
