In principle, the Master's programme is open to all students with a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or university of applied sciences. It assumes that applicants have a strong interest in data technology and a pronounced affinity for analytical problems.
Personal interviews are conducted to determine whether the applicant is suited for the programme.
Students with a background in statistics and computer science will have an advantage; however, the course is also open to those without any prior knowledge of this kind. In the first semester (assessment semester), students attend basic courses and earn the corresponding credits. They can begin the second semester once they have completed all the required coursework. Students with prior knowledge can be exempt from certain foundation courses.
Before they begin the second semester, students must have sufficiently mastered the basic concepts in the following areas:
- Computer science concepts for data scientists
- Statistical analysis for data scientists
- Python for data scientist
Preparatory work (optional)
Students will receive information on how best to prepare for their studies when they register for the course. Studying these materials in advance will make it easier to start the course, but it is not an admission criterion.
To register, submit the official online application with all the required documents.
We will contact you for further steps:
- Online interview (in German or English)
- Payment of the registration fee
