Credit for prior knowledge
Students with a documented background in the required modules can request to have their prior coursework credited toward the current programme, provided such coursework is comparable to the modules of the Master's programme in terms of content and level. Such requests can also be submitted once the programme has started.
Preparation for studies (optional)
By registering for the course, students gain access to a specialised online learning platform for data scientists (www.datacamp.com). They may also benefit from attending introductory courses in preparation for their studies, e.g. on the Python programming language or on using the R software. This can be especially useful for those with little or no knowledge of programming. The Master's programme does not require any specific preparations otherwise.
