This minor provides an in-depth exploration of national and international corporate tax law as well as the tax treatment of real estate. You will gain a thorough understanding of the value-added tax system, tax procedural law, strategic tax planning, and tax compliance risk management (ICS, TCMS). In addition, you will address specific issues related to digital business models (e.g., e-commerce) and apply LegalTech and AI tools directly in tax practice.

This minor covers the fundamentals of private international law (conflict-of-laws rules) as well as the drafting, negotiation, and enforcement of cross-border contracts (e.g., the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, Incoterms). You will analyze international corporate structures, arbitration jurisdictions, and global data protection regimes (GDPR, CCPA). Using modern AI tools, you will learn to establish international compliance structures and secure data transfers. (This minor is taught in English.)

In this minor, you will gain a thorough introduction to digital HR management and the legal framework governing flexible work models (remote work, gig economy). You will discuss legal and ethical issues surrounding the use of AI in human resources management (recruitment, performance evaluation) and delve deeper into individual, collective, and termination law. In addition, you will analyze specific issues in social security law related to modern forms of employment.

This minor provides an in-depth exploration of the use of regulatory and supervisory technologies (RegTech and SupTech). You will analyze the strategic implementation of digital government (e-government) as well as the legal frameworks for e-ID, digital administrative records, and automated decision-making (ADM). You will also examine concepts of public governance, process optimization in public human resources management, and methods for systematically reducing administrative regulatory burdens (“Bureaucracy Busting”).
