Within this project, an appropriate model for the simulation of capacity controlled air-to-water heat pumps will be created and implemented into the simulation software "Polysun", which is available on the market for calculating hydraulic heating systems.

Overview

Polysun is simulation software for designing, calculating and optimizing hydraulic heating systems in combination with solar thermal and geothermal energy. The current implemented model of a heat pump is limited to simple on-off controlled devices. In this project an appropriate model for the simulation of the capacity controlled air-to-water heat pump, which was previously developed in the BFE-project "Efficient Air-to-Water Heat Pumps through Continuous Capacity Control", will be implemented into the simulation software Polysun.
