Overview
The Horizon Europe project CURIOSOIL focuses on improving soil formation and addresses the urgent need for a better understanding of soil in light of increasing human pressure on this vital resource.
Sound makes things audible that cannot be seen. Dry stress in trees, for example – this can be made audible. Or biodiversity in the soil. Sound is not an add-on or a gimmick – it is a serious way of generating knowledge and making it tangible – whereby experience and knowledge creation are closely intertwined; the tonal approach to research subjects illustrates this very nicely.
