Overview
In four weeks of training, 20 freelance coaches are being trained in Bukavu. Swisscontact has developed a training system in these regions together with craft businesses. Adolescents and young adults from marginalised groups can complete an apprenticeship in various trades. The coaches accompany these groups for nine months and support them in their job search and in setting up small businesses. The first training programme for coaches was completed between 2020 and 2021. The second group completed their training in 2023/24. Coaches from the two are trained as assistant trainers at the same time, who will work in the training programme and support the coaches in the field.
