Quantum-safe Hardware Security Module

What is the impact of using quantum-safe cryptography on the functionality of a Hardware Security Module?

Overview

This project is in collaboration with the company Securosys SA. Securosys develops secure computing platforms to protect digital objects against copying, manipulation and theft. The digital object can e.g. be encrypted or signed.

The cryptographic algorithms used to sign or do key agreement are threatened by large-scale quantum computers. They will therefore have to be replaced by quantum-safe algorithms in the future. We study the impact on the functionality of the Hardware Security Module when using these novel quantum-safe algorithms.
