Overview
Over the last years, ABIZ could successfully position itself as premium partner for industrial machine learning research and data science projects in the German speaking area of Switzerland with some collaborations and regular touchpoints in Germany as well. However, there has not been a single project, regular exchange or partnership with any company or research institution from the Romandie despite the fact that several ABIZ members speak French decently and have a grown business network in the Western part of Switzerland. Likewise, there has never been any touchpoint with companies in France. We consider this restricted exposition to the Romandie business ecosystem a missed opportunity for both ABIZ and the informatic department.
The goal of this startup project is to expand ABIZ activities to collaborate with Romandie based research groups, industry, and private foundations. In a first phase, these efforts shall be concentrated on the domain of MedTech.
