What impact does the digital transformation have on art and culture? The Foundation for Technology Assessment Switzerland (TA-Swiss) commissioned an interdisciplinary team from HSLU to investigate this question.

Overview

The contractor was commissioned to conduct a technology assessment study on the topic of "Culture & Digitization in Music, Theater and Visual Design" for the Foundation for Technology Assessment TA-SWISS. In the inter- and transdisciplinary study, the field of impact of art & digitization will be investigated with regard to technical, legal, social, political, economic and ethical issues with a focus on music, performing arts (theater) and visual design. The aim is to use the study to make risks and opportunities of these current developments visible, this in four work packages: (1) Relationship dynamics cultural creators, recipients and audiences, (2) Distribution channels, digital tools and cultural diversity, (3) Cultural networks and their roles and (4) Compensation system and copyright protection.
