Overview

Cutaway untersucht in einem DACH-Projekt zusammen mit der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart, wie sich archäologische Nassproben am besten erhalten lassen. Dazu wird eine grosse Familie von Holzproben mit den etablierten Konservierungsmethoden behandelt und anschliessend die Eindringqualität mitttels optischer, elektronischer und röntgen-Computertomographie-Mikroskopie untersucht. Darüber hinaus werden neue Verfahren entwickelt um diese Eindringung rasch mit zerstörungsfreien Verfahren zu quantifizieren.
