Overview
<recolore> explores the potentials and challenges of colours within the mechanical recycling processes of post-consumer textile waste. The chemicals inside the discarded garments are considered a valuable resource to be recycled and saved for a second life of the product. The project aims to uncover “hot spots” in the handling of colour in post-consumer textile waste recycling; identify future potential and challenges of colour; help develop sustainable solutions for working with colour and stress further fields of research.
