Overview
Returnees from the USA and Mexico do not have an easy time in El Salvador. Often deported from Mexico and the United States due to lack of residence permits, it is difficult to develop a new professional perspective in El Salvador. The lack of recognition of professional skills and practical experience as well as prejudices make it difficult to enter the labour market. The coaching project aims to enable and support the participants in finding their own perspective in El Salvador and, in cooperation with companies, in re-entering the labour market. Around 20 coaches were trained in El Salvador until 2023. A potential expansion of the project to Honduras and Guatemala is being planned.
