Overview

Electric vehicles (EVs) represent an opportunity for the grid: environmental, economic and electricity system benefits are possible with vehicle to grid (V2G) technology.
To realise the opportunities, EVFlex establishes data-driven approaches for aggregation of distributed EVs, based on V2G technology, so that they can be used in grid service markets.

EVFlex develops the data management approach and algorithmic basis for large-scale aggregation of EVs for V2G by charge point and fleet operators to offer ancillary services to TSOs and DSOs through flexibility aggregators. The focus is on access, exchange, processing and exploitation of data between several market actors within a V2G context.

In doing so, EVFlex will establish the basis for future EV participation in grid service markets, in particular primary and secondary control (TSO) and grid congestion management (DSO). The focus is on grid services aggregator (flexibility aggregator); charge point operator; EV fleet owner; and system op-erator (TSO/DSO).
