Overview

SWEET-EDGE aims to speed up the growth of local, decentralised and renewable energy in Switzerland and to ensure that by 2035 and 2050, when ambitious renewable energy shares are to be achieved, the Swiss energy system can be operated in a technically and economically optimal as well as safe manner and is well positioned on the European markets. In particular, the EDGE consortium aims to go beyond the generic design of decentralised renewable systems and markets to a regionalised analysis specifically tailored to Swiss cities, the Central Plateau and the Alps.
