Overview
BEST EN is an inclusive and collaborative network of tourism academics and practitioners committed to furthering the creation and dissemination of knowledge within the field of sustainable tourism. The acronym BEST EN stands for Building Excellence for Sustainable Tourism – an Education Network. BEST EN aims to provide a platform for information, exchange of ideas, knowledge creation and building links and creating partnerships between academics as well as within the tourism industry.
BEST EN Think Tanks are annual three day events which aim to push the field of sustainable tourism research and education forward. They are typically held in the summer at a university where sustainable tourism is taught and researched. They consist of research presentations, keynote speakers and interactive workshop sessions to develop curriculum resources and research agendas. Each year the Think Tank has a particular theme and seeks to provide vision and cutting-edge insight to the topic at hand. The Think Tank 2018 will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland.
