Overview

In an interdisciplinary project team, the three fields of expertise and activity 3D & 4D planning, noise reduction & environmental acoustics and the planning of public spaces are brought together with the method extension by Augmented Reality (AR).

This innovative setting is made possible by the project partners Planteam S AG, SINUS AG and the City of Lucerne, Civil Engineering Office & Urban Planning together with the research partner of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

The project pursues the goal of developing a modular AR toolkit in order to innovatively expand the range of services offered by the project partners for spatial planning. For the first time, 3D/4D planning is combined with environmental acoustics using AR towards the development of specific application fields: here, the participatory method extension using AR in planning practice is to be investigated and the findings described as a method toolbox (guideline). For this purpose, the individual modules from the AR toolkit will be iteratively researched and developed based on the practice of the project partners and concrete case studies from community and urban development as well as noise management.
