In the overview
The immediate aim is to enable students to apply their English more competently in degree-course subjects.
The course begins with personalized feedback on set writing tasks and a check-up on written standards, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, paragraphing and text/discourse construction. It then moves on to consider verbal and non-verbal elements in presentations and discussions. A further aim is to enable students to improve their intercultural communication in English. The topic of intercultural communication will be enhanced by the collaboration between participants from the various disciplines with overseas students.
