As a participant of the Swiss European Mobility Programme (SEMP), you can now use the Interrail-Pass for Erasmus+ - ideal for travelling to and from your exchange semester and exploring your host country.
What is the Interrail Pass for Erasmus+?
- Train ticket for Erasmus+ and SEMP exchange students
- Valid for 6 months
- Two options:
- 4 travel days within 6 months
- 6 travel days within 6 months
- You can use the pass for:
- Return journey to and from your host country
- Travelling within your host country
- Travelling to neighbouring countries during your stay
--> Not only will you save CO2, but you will also gain real life experiences along the way.
Who is eligible?
All students at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts who are completing an exchange semester
- at a partner institution (outgoing) or at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (incoming)
- who are funded by SEMP-funds.

That's how it works
- Apply for your Interrail Erasmus+ pass via Interrail.eu.
- Choose 4 or 6 travel days within 6 months.
- Use the days for your outward and return journey or for excursions during your stay.
- Upload your tickets/proof of travel to the Mobility Online Tool so that the International Office can pay you the SEMP grant for environmentally friendly travel (CHF 100 towards your Interrail Pass).
