Since there is a choice of scheduling models, programmes can be tailored to student's specific needs. 5. Central location with international flair

The Lucerne UASA campuses all offer excellent public transport connections, being situated very close to the railway stations in Lucerne, Horw, Emmenbrücke, Zug and Rotkreuz.  Lucerne is a vibrant city to live in too, with tourist sites such as Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument, diverse shopping facilities and local markets. Beyond the medieval fortifications there is magnificent natural scenery to enjoy, including Mount Pilatus and Lake Lucerne. For further information, see Lucerne Tourism. Rents are lower than in cities such as Zurich, while if anything the quality of living is in fact higher.  Lucerne UASA opens up fresh horizons for its students geographically, too:  those studying here form part of a large, diverse community of some 6,200 students – not just from Switzerland but from a wide range of different countries.  Exchange semesters, intensive courses abroad, international students: studying in Lucerne is very much about embracing other cultures, too. Here you will find details of what the International Office has to offer. Studying in Lucerne appeals not only to those eager to gain a sound education. Here in the heart of Switzerland, students benefit from a broad range of cultural and leisure activities as well as a unique natural setting among mountains and lakes. At the same time, other cities such as Zurich, Basel and Bern are within easy reach and well worth a visit.  An exchange semester is the best way to establish international contacts and make valuable friendships, and Lucerne UASA does everything to ensure that students retain fond memories of these intercultural encounters for the rest of their lives.
