VPN (Virtual Private Network / Remote Access)
VPN enables students and employees of the HSLU to access the e-media licensed for the HSLU from an external location. The software «Ivanti» is required for the VPN connection. This must be downloaded and installed once and then started before each search (login with HSLU campus login).

Wi-Fi «hslu»
Students and staff at HSLU select the «hslu» Wi-Fi network on site and log in with their user account (campus login). This gives them on-site access to all e-resources licensed for HSLU.
Wi-Fi «eduroam»
Students and members of other universities can use the «eduroam» Wi-Fi if their home university provides this access.
Wi-Fi «public»
Guests on the HSLU campus can log in via the «public» Wi-Fi network and authenticate the connection via text message. A mobile phone is therefore essential. The connection is valid for a maximum of 30 days. Instructions are available from the HSLU IT Service Desk.
Borrowing Notebooks
If you did not bring your own device, you may borrow one of four ZHB notebooks (including mouse and power cable) from our lending locker. You can use them in the library, among other things, for your literature search, to create documents, or for reference management. You must return the notebook on the same day!
