Sustainable university operations Climate-neutral, sufficient, social

With its more than 2,000 employees and 8,000 students, the HSLU has a great impact on the places where its campuses are located. Its aim is to become climate-neutral by 2040. Transforming its operations to become sufficient and low-emissions is a key element on this path.

Climate-neutral by 2040

In line with the Canton of Lucerne’s climate strategy, the HSLU aims to become climate-neutral by 2040. Achieving a climate-neutral university is a shared responsibility and can only be achieved with everyone’s commitment. In addition to infrastructure measures such as the switch to renewable energy, it is also important to use resources mindfully in our day-to-day lives (Only in German).

Nature Day brings together HSLU students and employees for a nature volunteering project in the region. It is a great way to meet people, share experiences and to make a contribution to biodiversity.
