Biography
After finishing high school, Priska Büeler (maiden name Herzog) worked as a trainee at Herzog Forsttechnik AG. 2016 she got her bachelor’s degree from the Hochschule für Technik und Architektur in Fribourg (CH) in mechanical engineering with specialization in lightweight structures and polymers. She was awarded by the GIF-VFI (industry association of the canton of Fribourg) for her outstanding bachelor thesis with the title “influence of glued windows in cable car cabins”. 2018 she obtained her master’s degree from Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden) in product development.
2018 she started working as a trainee at DT Swiss AG and was promoted to project engineer in 2019. In this position she led the product development of a new and innovative product and was the cross-departmental responsible for FEM simulations. 2020 Priska Büeler started working as a research mechanical engineer at Michelin Recherche et Technique, a research facility working of sustainable transportation solutions. In 2022 she worked as a parttime lecturer and as sustainability expert engineering at V-ZUG AG.
Since January 2023, Priska Büeler is a fulltime lecturer at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Engineering and Architecture. Her focus areas in teaching are materials engineering and technical mechanics. Priska Büeler is leading several research projects in the area sustainable materials and circularity. Priska Büeler is part of the competence center of thermal energy storage (CCTES). In 2026 she completed her CAS in research qualifications from HSLU.
Since 2026, Priska Büeler is the diversity case handler at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Engineering and Architecture^.
